Knight of Cups

This week, lead with your heart.

For some of you, yes, this could absolutely be love. You could meet somebody new, a connection could start developing, or there could be a little romance trying to find its way into your life. And if you've been open to love, don't be so busy protecting yourself that you miss something beautiful when it shows up.

​

But I don't think the Knight of Cups is only talking about romantic love this week.

​

I think you're starting to realize that if your heart isn't in it, you don't want anything to do with it anymore.

​

And that's a beautiful place to be.

​

Maybe you're looking for work that actually means something to you. Maybe you're rediscovering something you love to do. Maybe you're pouring more love into yourself, your family, your friendships, your creativity, or simply the life you're building. Whatever it is, your heart is becoming a much bigger part of the decision-making process.

Because what the hell is the point of building a beautiful life if you don't actually love living it?

There's something about this card that gives me a little sigh of relief too. I'm not going to promise you an easy week, because life is still life. But I do think there's room for some genuinely loving moments this week.

And don't sit around waiting for somebody else to create those moments for you.

​

Buy yourself the flowers. Take yourself somewhere. Call somebody you miss. Cook something you love. Put the music on. Say yes to the invitation. Tell somebody you appreciate them. Participate in your own happiness.

If love comes knocking this week, let yourself answer.

And if the love you're looking for is something you have to give yourself?

Give it.

Lead with love this week. Then pay attention to what starts finding its way back to you.
